Su Midghall

Su has close to 15 years of experience in all phases of public opinion research, including questionnaire and sample design, field administration, focus group research, online survey research, and analysis and reporting. She specializes in complex sample design and online survey techniques for the firm, and has vast experience designing community needs assessments and research about the values and beliefs of 12-17 and 18-34 year olds.

Su has managed a wide variety of public opinion research projects including travel behavior assessment surveys for the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), baseline and benchmarking studies assessing residents’ attitudes and priorities for renewable energy for Clark Public Utilities and Avista Corp., community and transportation planning for Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), and focus groups and online surveys assessing young people’s opinions about their communities and schools for the World Forestry Center, Nike, Portland Public Schools (PPS), and the City of Covington, Washington.

Su also directs research for the annual Oregon Business Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon, including making presentations to over 1,000 event attendees about best business practices, as defined by approximately 30,000 employees and hundreds of Oregon employers who participate in the survey.

Su received her undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Tennessee. She previously worked for the University of Tennessee implementing a marketing program to first-year MBA students and for GTE Corporation developing a strategic marketing plan.
