- Conducted a study to identify reasons why Oregon voters rejected a tobacco tax increase in a recent general election
- Assessed voter opinion about a tax measure to fund transportation improvements in the Puget Sound area using telephone surveys and focus groups, researching such topics as voter concerns about congestion issues in the area and possible solutions, including funding levels and mechanisms
- Determined voter satisfaction with Oregon’s current initiative process, evaluated support for a ballot measure to revise Oregon’s initiative process by using citizen panels to evaluate potential ballot measures, and identified the best statements to use to build support for the measure through a statewide telephone survey and focus group research
- Assessed voter opinion to aid in message development and targeting for a statewide ballot measure to limit tax and fee increases imposed by state government through telephone surveys and focus groups. Results helped gain understanding for why voters would vote in favor or against the tax measure
